Lucknow Super Giants batter KL Rahul is tipped to be ahead in the race for a second wicketkeeper spot in India’s T20 World Cup squad, as per reports. The selectors are likely to pick the 15-member squad for the marquee tournament on Saturday. As per a TOI report, there is a tough fight between KL and Sanju, with the former having an upper hand in terms of stats in IPL 2024.
The first-choice wicketkeeper for India is automatically Rishabh Pant. The southpaw, who made his comeback in IPL 2024 after being on the sidelines since a horrific car crash in December 2022, has all but sealed his spot in the squad with impressive performances with the bat.
