Reflecting on his incredible achievement, Bumrah revealed that this iconic delivery was his favorite moment of 2024, especially after receiving the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year award.
Jasprit Bumrah expressed his joy after receiving the award. He said, “I am really happy to be winning the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year.”
“The one I took at Vizag against England, the Ollie Pope dismissal, was really special because that changed the momentum,” the Indian pacer revealed his favorite moment.
Bumrah was awarded the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year on Monday. Both at home and away, the Indian spearhead has a stellar 2024. In 13 games, he took 71 wickets.
First Indian pacer to clinch Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year 2024
Bumrah is the first Indian pacer to be awarded with this award. Notably, the 31-year-old was remarkable in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy even though India did not clinch the series and lost the series by 1-3.
Jasprit Bumrah was also shortlisted for the ICC Cricketer of the Year 2024 award alongside England’s Joe Root, Harry Brook, and Australian left-handed batsman Travis Head.
