A journey rooted in resilience
Their story began in
Pathanamthitta
, central Travancore, where Ayoob Khan E was born on May 25, 1971.
After losing his father early on, Khan joined the small business community at sixteen to overcome life’s challenges. Starting in the garment trade, he gradually expanded his operations across South India. At nineteen, Khan moved to Bahrain, returning later to continue his small-scale garment business in Malabar’s border towns, an ideal location for micro-garment trading.
From dream to reality
In 1994, Khan realised his dream by opening
Bharath Vasthrolsavam
and Ready-made in Sulthan Bathery. This venture quickly gained popularity, leading to the opening of Yes Bharath Silks and Sarees in 2003, inaugurated by Malayalam actress Navya Nair. This milestone also marked the entry of Khan’s brother-in-law, Mr. Shibu Hassan, into the garment industry. In 2004, the store was rebranded as Yes Bharath Wedding Collections, with a unique inauguration involving the community, deepening our customer connection. In 2023, the
Sulthan Bathery
showroom was renovated to a 100,000 square feet area, implementing new fashion trends, and inaugurated by cine artist Makkal Sevam Vijay Sethupathi.
Continuous expansion and innovation
Over the years, Yes Bharath has consistently expanded and innovated to meet the evolving needs of our customers. In 2006, they introduced a newly furnished showroom, enhancing the shopping experience for our patrons. In 2007, they added a section dedicated to gents’ clothing, ensuring their offerings cater to the entire family. The store was unveiled in 2008 by the late Kalabhavan Mani, further solidifying its reputation for quality and affordability.
In 2014, Yes Bharath opened a new branch in Kalpetta, inaugurated by South Indian cine stars Sharath Kumar and Nazriya Nazim. Two years later, in 2016, a new showroom was launched in Sulthan Bathery, marking the beginning of a new era with MD
Anshad Ayoob Khan
, son of Ayoob Khan E, taking the helm as Managing Director. Anshad, who holds a degree from Christ University, Bangalore and a Master’s in Business Studies from Coventry University, London Campus, brought a fresh perspective and modern strategies to the business. His academic credentials and innovative approach have propelled Yes Bharath forward.
Pioneering initiatives and future ventures
In 2023, under Anshad Ayoob Khan’s leadership, Yes Bharath launched its first in-house boutique, “Aura” at Suthan Bathery showroom, and in 2024, Yes Bharath introduced an in-house dyeing unit at the Sulthan Bathery showroom, allowing customers to get clothes in their preferred colours, a first-of-its-kind service in the state. This innovative addition underscores our commitment to providing unique and personalised shopping experiences.
Recognising the importance of a strong brand presence, Yes Bharath proudly introduced Kalyani Priyadarshan as the brand ambassador in 2024. Her association with our brand brings a fresh and vibrant appeal, resonating with our commitment to style, elegance, and quality. Kalyani’s endorsement amplifies our reach and strengthens our brand’s connection with a broader audience.
Weddings of Bharath
Recently, Yes Bharath launched “Weddings of Bharath,” a pioneering initiative marking a significant milestone in India’s wedding industry. This campaign is the first of its kind, bringing together major wedding service providers under one roof to offer exceptional value to our wedding customers. Through their campaign partners, they present a variety of exclusive discounts and special offers, making wedding planning more affordable and enjoyable for couples across the country.
Our upcoming showroom in Adoor, with 100,000 square feet, is in the finishing stages and will open at the end of August 2025. This new venture promises to provide a unique shopping experience for the people of Adoor. Additionally, Yes Bharath has launched Yesbuy an online platform where customers can avail of trending outfits at competitive prices.
