Writer and columnist Sreevarahom Balakrishnan died here on Tuesday. He was 93.
A columnist for The Hindu, he specialised in the arts. Mr. Balakrishnan taught English at Pazhassi Raja NSS College, Mattannur, and NSS College, Dhanuvachapuram. He also worked as public relations officer at Kerala Raj Bhavan.
He wrote the dialogues for the Mammotty starrer Elavancode Desam. He penned the screenplay for the films Swathi Thirunal, Snehapurvam Meera, and Aswathi.
He is survived by his wife and children. The cremation will be held at Santhikavadom, Thycaud, on Wednesday evening.
