Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge
on Wednesday said that the
INDIA bloc
is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people who do not wish to be governed by the
BJP-led government
. He assured that the alliance will take the necessary actions at the appropriate juncture to achieve this goal.
“…The INDIA bloc will continue will fight against the
fascist rule
of the BJP led by PM Modi.
We will take the appropriate steps at the appropriate time to realise the people’s desire not to be ruled by the BJP’s govt… ,” Kharge said.
Addressing the media following the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi, the Congress chief conveyed the gratitude of the INDIA bloc members for the overwhelming support their alliance has received from the citizens of India. He said the people’s mandate has delivered a fitting response to the BJP and their politics of hatred and corruption.
Speaking about the meeting, Kharge said, “We discussed the
political situation
in detail and came to the conclusion finally that we should say in one voice: The constituents of INDIA bloc thank the people of India for their overwhelming support received by our alliance.”
Kharge also stressed that the mandate serves as a safeguard for the Indian Constitution and a condemnation of challenges such as inflation, joblessness, and crony capitalism. He further said that the alliance’s commitment is to protect the democratic fabric of the nation.
“The people’s mandate has given befitting reply to the BJP and their politics of hate, corruption and deprivation. This is a mandate in defence of the Constitution of India, and against price rise, unemployment and crony capitalism, and also to save the democracy. The INDIA bloc will continue to fight against the fascist rule of the BJP led by Modi. We will take appropriate steps at the appropriate time to realise the people’s desire not to be ruled by the BJP’s government.”
“This is our decision and we all agreed on these points, and will definitely keep the promises given to the people,” Kharge added.
