Manoj Tiwary has once again forayed into the debate over being dropped from the side led by MS Dhoni after scoring a century
Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary has still not gotten over being dropped from the side just after scoring a century in 2011. The West Bengal cricketer, who has spoken openly about the controversial topic, once again forayed into the topic. Tiwary was dropped from the side for the game right after he scored a century against West Indies in 2011. Not to forget, MS Dhoni was the captain at that time and Tiwary’s anger is directed at the former, naturally without naming him.
Manoj Tiwary’s indirect jibe at MS Dhoni
Speaking to Cricket Addictor, Tiwary admitted that his “confidence was crushed” and his mindset was affected on being dropped despite performing well with the bat. He revealed that he felt very sad about it, adding that he would reveal it all if he were to pen an autobiography or start a podcast.
“See, it happened a long time ago. It’s a matter of the past, but yes, dukh to hota hi hai (It was sad). I would lie if I said it wasn’t saddening. What can we do? It’s life; but it needs to move forward. If I am to write my autobiography or I do a podcast of my own, I will reveal it all. But it wasn’t easy. When a player is at his peak, when his confidence is crushed, it causes a change in mindset,” Manoj Tiwary said.

Earlier this year, Manoj Tiwary had said that he would like to ask Dhoni about why he was dropped from the playing XI of the Indian team despite scoring a 100 against West Indies. Manoj also asserted that if he was given chances, he could have turned out like Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli.
Manoj Tiwary had played 12 ODIs and three T20Is for India.
In spite of the talent Manoj possessed, he could not make his place in the Indian team permanent. Manoj played a fantastic innings against the West Indies in Chennai on December of 2011, scoring 104 not out. However, he was dropped from the playing XI in the next 14 matches.
