Ramita Jindal will carry the hopes of millions on her shoulders when she competes in the final of the 10m air rifle after qualifying.
After Manu Bhaker opened India’s medal tally with a bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol event, rising star Ramita Jindal will compete for another medal in the 10m air rifle event final. The 20-year-old finished 5th in the qualification round with a score of 631.5.
How Ramita Jindal qualified for final?
Shooter Ramita advanced straight to the finals of the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event after placing fifth in the qualifying round. She followed Manu Bhaker as the only other Indian female athlete to reach the final of a shooting competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. However, after struggling in the previous series, Ramita’s countrywoman Elavenil Valarivan finished in 10th place, narrowly missing qualification by two spots.
