Anushka Sharma was a part of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘ which was directed by Karan Johar. The film starred her alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. When Anushka had once appeared on ‘Koffee With Karan’ with Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar had confessed that he had a crush on her while shooting ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Anushka was shocked to hear this and so was Katrina. The ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ actress asked him again, “Did you just say you had a crush on me?” Johar responded to it and said, “Ya, right throughout the making of this film” leaving everyone in awe.
She reacted to it and expressed, “I am feeling really flattered, I must tell you because if I can do THAT..”
The episode of Katrina and Anushka is considered one of the best episodes of the show in all seasons as it became a mad house, when Arjun Kapoor also made a cameo in that episode. On work front, Anushka has been away from movies for a while now, ever since she became a mom to Vamika in 2021. This year, Anushka and husband Virat Kohli welcomed their second child and named him Akaay Kohli.
The actress had last shot for ‘Chakda Xpress’ where she plays cricketer Jhulan Goswami. It was supposed to release on Netflix this year, however the OTT platform had a fall out with the production house, headed by Anushka’s brother Karnessh Sharma. Since then, there’s no update on the release of the movie.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is set to make his big debut in the OTT space, just the way Sanjay Leela Bhansali did with ‘Heeramandi’.
