The skateboarders has had it really difficult in the ongoing Paris Olympics. First the event was postponed due to rain and then the a bus carrying the skateboarders from the US and Canada to the venue broke down. However it failed to break the confidence of the skateboarder who decided to skate to the venue.
Canada’s skateboarder Matt Berger filmed himself and fellow countryman Cordano Russell skating down the streets of Paris.
The bus full of Olympic Athletes crashed on the way to the street course, and the skaters on board got off the bus and skated their way through the streets of Paris to the course. The place were the bus crashed was 2 kms away from the course.

As quoted by the People.Com, Berger said: “the incident occurred when their driver attempted to make a right turn onto a road that was too narrow, resulting in the vehicle becoming stuck. After waiting for 10 minutes without assistance, the athletes decided to take initiative and proceeded on foot, walking over a mile to reach their practice destination.”
Skateboarding is played at the outdoor venue of La Concorde Urban Park in Paris. Men’s street skateboarding scheduled for Saturday was postponed to Monday due to constant showers and occasional downpours.
On Sunday, Japanese 14-year-old Coco Yoshizawa has won women’s street skateboard gold at the Paris Olympics in an all-teenage final. Fellow Japanese contender Liz Akama took silver with Brazilian Rayssa Leal collecting bronze at Place de La Concorde.
Yoshizawa scores 272.75 points from her three best runs. Akama, herself only aged 15, collected 265.95 for second and Leal finished on 253.37.
