Well, a new development has come up on the news regarding the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) denying No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to the likes of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan for the Global T20 Canada league. Including Shaheen Afridi, the three pillars of Pakistan cricket are set to miss the upcoming tournament, set to start on July 25. However, the curtains behind why the PCB denied them the NOCs have taken off, and it is probable that the board didn’t allow them to go because of an Indian!
Suspicious practices by an Indian owner?
According to Cricket Pakistan, there is a huge suspicion that a GT20 Canada team owner, who is an Indian, was allegedly involved in some unwanted practice. This is one of the reasons why PCB didn’t allow Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen and other Pakistani players to take part in the league. More clarification on this matter is likely to unfold soon.
Apart from this, some sources indicate that other organizers have not paid their entire dues to Cricket Canada. It is pertinent to note that ICC has still not sanctioned the GT20 Canada league, which is also one of the reasons why PCB denied NOCs. ICC is likely to grant sanctions once these dues will be paid.
