Siliguri (WB): BJP workers call for ‘bandh’ in the Matigara area of Siliguri over the alleged attack on the party workers by Trinamool Congress workers on April 29. All the shops were shut and the streets were less crowded than usual because of ‘bandh’. Speaking to ANI, BJP leader Mithun Pramanik said, “Today Matigara is closed for 12 hours. TMC goons have attacked the BJP workers yesterday. They are attacking us if we shout the ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogan. That’s why we called a 12-hour ‘bandh’ in Matigara. 10 to 15 people got injured yesterday. Police haven’t taken any action. We don’t know how many people got arrested.”
