Kohli has scored the most runs in IPL 2024 and currently has a strike rate of 148.08 with one century and four fifties to his name.

Virat Kohli hasn’t fired back at his critics but has blown them away. After getting serious flak over his strike rate, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru star has smashed 28 runs from just 2 overs (12 balls) in the powerplay to put the strike rate debate to bed. Chasing 148, he entered the middle with the intent of ending the match in just 10 overs.

No strike rate issues for Virat Kohli

He started the chase with an incredible six over long-off that was so picturesque that you could watch it all day long. He struck another six in the over as RCB raced off the blocks. Faf du Plessis then took over, but Kohli never stopped.

He didn’t get much strike until the fifth over, when he smashed debutant Manav Suthar for back-to-back sixes and raced off to 28 runs from just 12 balls. He didn’t get to face another ball in the powerplay after that, but along with Faf, he took RCB to a record-breaking score of 92, the highest in the franchise’s history.
