Actor Vinodhini Vaidyanathan on Thursday announced that she would be quitting Kamal Haasan’s political party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), just over one and a half years after joining. In a post on X, Ms. Vinodhini said politics was a vast ocean that required thoughts, action, and finances, and she lacked the finances. She admitted that she was acting as a “slacker” within the party and said accepting the truth gave her “freedom”.
