titled ‘
Badtameez Gill
‘. The actress is set to play the titular role in the movie. Vaani is remembered for her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, and being directed by Aditya Chopra in ‘Befikre’.
The actress was also a part of Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘WAR’.
As per the latest report by Pinkvilla, the ‘Bell Bottom’ actress will be playing the lead character in the upcoming film titled ‘Badtameez Gill’ helmed by
Navjot Gulati
. The film is set to go on floors in the first week of May.
The report stated that the film ‘Badtameez Gill’ is set in both
Bareilly
and London. Alongside Vaani, the cast includes
Aparshakti Khurana
from ‘Luka Chuppi,’ playing the role of Vaani’s brother. Additionally, veteran
Paresh Rawal
will portray Vaani’s father in the movie.
The makers revealed that they were looking for a gorgeous and confident girl who could bring riotous energy to her family and friends in the film. They praised Vaani Kapoor, stating that she embodies these qualities in real life, making her the perfect fit for the lead role. They expressed confidence that her presence would light up the screen and entertain audiences. Kapoor would also be appearing in an upcoming crime thriller series on OTT.
Titled ‘Mandala Murders’, Vaani’s OTT debut is backed by YRF and the release date is yet to be announced.
