HYDERABAD: The $4 billion US-based
cloud
, data, and engineering solutions provider AHEAD on Thursday announced the opening of its new facility in Hyderabad with plans to
hire
over 500
techies
by the end of 2025.
This is part of plans to grow its India operations, which also includes a dedicated delivery
office
in Gurugram that was launched in January 2023, to about 750 employees by the end of 2024, top officials of the company said.
The Hyderabad office, which spans 26,000 square feet and currently has about 50 employees, including 30-odd employees that came with its global acquisition of CDI in February this year, will focus on servicing AHEAD’s US-based customers, with an emphasis on managed services and digital solutions.
Keith Odom, senior vice president of infrastructure and operations, AHEAD, termed the new office opening as a crucial step in the company’s strategic growth plans in India, which it views as a long-term destination for offshoring its core services.
Praveen Grover, VP, and managing director, AHEAD India, said the company decided to open its office in Hyderabad because of the abundant availability of talent for software development, storage and backup, as well as ESM, particularly ServiceNow.
“These are some of the skill sets that we’ve traditionally struggled with for recruiting in the Gurugram region. Hyderabad, renowned for its expertise in storage, backup, networking, and software development, offers a strategic advantage for AHEAD’s expansion,” Grover said.
