Actor Gulshan Devaiah, in an old interaction, shared some personal insights about working with Ranveer Singh on the sets of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela

In a conversation with

on his YouTube channel a while back, Gulshan spoke about his working relationship with Ranveer, describing it as “good and professional.” He acknowledged that Ranveer’s energy is sometimes seen as “attention-seeking” by some, but explained that it’s simply part of his personality.
“He’s always been full of energy, even during our acting workshops,” Gulshan said, reminiscing about their time together during rehearsals before filming started. According to him, Ranveer had always carried himself like a movie star, even before achieving stardom. “The way he walked, even back then, showed how he saw himself as a star,” Gulshan explained.
During filming, Gulshan often gave Ranveer space after shooting

He recalled how Ranveer would sometimes sit alone in a corner and cry after intense takes. “He needed that time to himself after an emotional scene,” Gulshan said, adding that his co-star’s passion for his craft was evident in these vulnerable moments. He explained that Ranveer’s process involved completely immersing himself in his roles, and at times, it left him emotionally drained.

Gulshan also shared that sometimes he couldn’t keep up with Ranveer’s energy during shoots and would step aside to let Ranveer recharge on his own. “I’d just walk away to give him space because I couldn’t always match his wavelength,” he said, acknowledging that Ranveer operates on a different level of intensity.
While some may see Ranveer’s larger-than-life personality as a sign of seeking attention, Gulshan emphasized that it’s a reflection of how deeply Ranveer believes in his identity as a movie star. This confidence, paired with his emotional depth, is what makes Ranveer stand out on set.
