Arbaaz Khan, who is happily married to wife
Sshura Khan
, was earlier married to Malaika Arora. Arbaaz once spoke about his bond with his ex-wife Malaika. The actor insisted that he had a cordial connection with his former partner and that
Arhaan Khan
, his son, had been playing a crucial role in warding off negativity of all kinds.
In an old interview with Deccan Chronicle, Arbaaz stated that he and Malaika are mature enough to treat each other with respect because they had 19 years of marriage and many memories together. The actor went on to say that their son is what keeps them together even after their
divorce
and he is proud of him.
Arbaaz shared, “We have been together for so many years, and shared so many memories. Most importantly we have a kid together, so there’s a respect for each other. There was something that did not work between us so we got separated.” The actor went on to say that both he and Malaika are facing everything with ‘respect and dignity.’
Arbaaz added that he gets along well with Malaika’s relatives as well. He stated that he has continued to have faith in his son, who is growing into a bright young man. “I have a good equation with her side of the family too. So if we could not live amicably under one roof, we decided to lead our lives separately. Our son has kept us bonded, and when he grows up everything will be better,” shared Arbaaz.
The actor praised his son Arhaan Khan, saying that his handling of his parents’ divorce is admirable. Arbaaz further added, “He is a very good son, I love the way he has handled all this. Many times at this sensitive age, children are victims of bad influence, but he’s a very positive kid.”
Arbaaz Khan tied the knot with Sshura Khan at an intimate nikah ceremony on December 24 last year. The wedding was held at Arbaaz’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s residence in Mumbai. Arbaaz was previously married to Malaika Arora. They separated in 2016 and officially divorced in 2017. They have a son, Arhaan.
