Throwback to the year 2016, when Anushka and Virat were almost on the verge of getting married.
Around this time, Anushka, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai was promoting her movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, directed by Karan Johar. While appearing on the Kapil Sharma show, the trio talked about the film, and also indulged in some light banter. Known for his wit and humor, Kapil Sharma asked Anushka if she is a fan of cricket (when she was dating Virat). Anushka, hearing this, could not stop smiling and said, “You know Ash (Aishwarya) and I were just talking as to how much Ash loves cricket!” Hearing this, even Ranbir Kapoor could not stop laughing.
On the other hand, ever since Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli became parents to a second baby, Akaay Kohli, rumours are rife that the couple is planning to shift to London. Anushka and Virat spent a lot of time in London before Akaay was born and they decided to give him birth over there. The couple spent about two months in London post Akaay’s birth and Virat returned to India for the World Cup and IPL. Many days later, Anushka was also seen arriving in the country but she requested the paps to not click Vamika and Akaay’s pictures.
The couple has been often spotted in London
Anushka and Virat have been often spotted in the city spending time, over shopping or at restaurants. Kohli missed the India vs England Test series and travelled to England for the birth of his second child, reports said. The 35-year-old was also photographed in London days after his son’s birth, which again strengthened these rumours.
Having a
normal life
A Reddit post read some time ago, “As Virat is nearing his retirement he’ll most probably live in the UK. He had mentioned before that he likes staying in Europe because most people can’t recognize them and that gives them a normal life.”
Being able to freely move around with their children
Virat and Anushka both have always maintained that they are very simple in their lives and prefer not being in the public limelight at all times. They also want to do normal things with their children without being papped all the time. Virat had once said, “We were not in the country. Just to feel normal for two months – for me, my family – it was a surreal experience. Couldn’t have been more grateful to God for the opportunity to spend time with the family. It’s an amazing experience to just be another person on the road and not be recognised”
