Chief Juctice of India DY Chandrachud made no secret of his annoyance with lawyers who requested urgent hearings on cases that, in his judgement, did not merit an urgent hearing. “I do not get paid to persuade lawyers. You’re making a mockery. Have a sense of proportion. This is how lawyers exploit the courts. That is why genuine issues cannot be listed,” the visibly upset top judge said.

Amitabh Yash, ADG, Uttar Pradesh Law and Order, recently made headlines, particularly after a video of him from Bahraich went viral. Yash is seen with a pistol in his hand, challenging the mob. Coincidentally, a film on his life and encounter with famed dacoit Dadua will be released in Mumbai on Sunday. The film was originally titled Yash after his name, but it has since been changed to Ghamasan. Pratik Gandhi stars as Ambitabh Yash, while Arshad Warsi plays Dadua.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a video of a Punganur cow at his home, numerous BJP leaders were motivated to share it. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav, who owns two Punganur cows, also shared a video on social media showing him petting the cows. Union minister SP Singh Baghel also owns Punganur cows, and he shared a video of them earlier this month.
