As the row over Tirupati laddus is now being heard by the Supreme Court, there is a sharp focus on NDA ally Telugu Desam Party. While YSRCP is keeping its cards close to its chest and asking its leaders to tread cautiously and not celebrate “too early”, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is exhibiting a business-as-usual approach. Naidu is likely to be in New Delhi on October 8.
‘Revenge Completed’
The Maharashtra government has been maintaining that the encounter in which the Badlapur sexual accused died was genuine. But BJP functionaries do not seem to have got the brief. BJP cadres have put up posters around the city with deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis holding a revolver. The caption reads ‘Badla Pura’ (revenge completed).
Likely to be Seen in Capital
As the final phase of J&K polls wrapped up on Tuesday, it is hoped that minister of state for science and technology Jitendra Singh – who is also in-charge of several central departments such as the PMO, DoPT, atomic energy and space – will finally be seen in New Delhi. The minister has been camping in J&K for the last two months amid the poll season. He had even missed many key launches and campaigns by his ministries.
