Moving round and round
When the new Parliament complex was built, parking space for MPs and officials was absorbed. The authorities then chose the Red Cross Road, adjacent to the boundary of the complex, as parking space. Sanskari Beginning
Newly elected BJP MP from Meerut, Arun Govil, better known for essaying the role of Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, debuted in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday with a sanskari question. During question hour, Govil asked I&B minister Ashwini Vaishnaw if the government was planning to regulate obscene content on social media. He pointed out that ‘foreign OTT’ platforms have been showing content that cannot be watched by family. Vaishnaw agreed and said stricter laws were required.
Maha BJP Making Fun of Losers
Buoyed by Mahayuti’s huge majority, BJP is now busy making fun of its rivals, with the party’s Maharashtra chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule likening Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray to Govardhan Asrani, who played a jailor’s role in Hindi movie Sholay, who finds no one behind him after telling his staff, ‘aadhe idhar jao, aadhe udhar jao, baaki mere peeche aoo’. Bawankule said Thackeray like Asrani would be left with only two MLAs as 18 others would desert him.
