Good Catch, On and Off the Field: At a special session in the state legislature to honour Team India, Suryakumar Yadav‘s short speech tickled the funny bone of many. He talked about his spectacular catch and how the ball just got ‘stuck’ in his hands. Later, team captain Rohit Sharma referring to Yadav’s speech said it was better that the ball got stuck in Yadav’s hands, else the latter would have had it. Ajit Pawar too had many in splits when he said the politicians too would have taken Yadav to task had he dropped the catch.

High Hopes Come Tumbling Down: Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar has had an eye on the top post ever since he led Congress to victory in assembly polls last year. Forced to concede the post to his rival Siddaramaiah, he has been hoping the party would pay him back after the general elections. However, his camp is on shaky ground due to a subpar performance.
