Sudhakaran Wins This Round, But Questions Remain
The brewing crisis in the Congress leadership of Kerala seems to have blown out on Tuesday. PCC chief K Sudhakaran, who found himself in a spot after MM Hassan to whom the PCC chief had temporarily handed over the charge refused to hand back the post, got the muchsought relief after AICC directed that Sudhakaran will resume his duties from Wednesday. This didn’t come smoothly as Sudhakaran had to make many phone calls to AICC functionaries over the past two days, demanding what was due to him, even as his supporters made no secret of their plan that any further delay would have made them to enter PCC office forcefully to ‘wrest’ the post. Now the betting is on whether the relief would last or it was just a lull before his in-house detractors make the final push, after results, to eject him from the top post.
