“They start chanting RCB, RCB”: Jacob Bethell in awe of Royal Challengers Bengaluru support in India

New Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) recruit Jacob Bethell has heaped praises for his new IPL side. The English all-rounder claimed that he has been blown away by the support he has been receiving during the IND vs ENG series. He claimed that at every ground when he walks to the pitch he gets greeted with RCB chants.

At the IPl 2025 Mega Auction, the English man was picked up by RCB for a price of 2.60 crore. It is also expected that the Three Lions star will also be a key player for the Bengaluru outfits this season. Bethell also claimed that it was an exciting moment for him to share the dressing room with stars like Virat Kohli and others.

Bethell pleased with RCB support in India

“RCB is a great franchise, and I’ve felt the love over here. Every ground I’ve been to, as soon as I walk onto the pitch, they start chanting: RCB, RCB. There’s definitely a lot of support. To play along with the likes of players like that would be really cool,” Bethell was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.

It was a poor outing for Jacob Bethell in the IND vs ENG T20I series. He managed to score just 23 runs in the 3-match T20I series. On the other hand, he made a strong comeback into the ODI series. At Nagpur, he slammed a fine fifty to help his side not suffer an epic collapse.

Coming to the bowling unit, he went on to pick the crucial wicket of Shreyas Iyer who unleashed his fury against the Three Lions. Speaking about his playing style, he claimed that he is a pure all-rounder and wants to bowl when he gets the chance.

“I see myself as a genuine all-rounder. Whenever, I get the chance to bowl and state my claim, and put us in a good position, I will. It’s a massive part of my package,” he concluded.
