T20 World Cup: South Africa skipper Aiden Markram reveals his side’s incredible hunger to win maiden World Cup crown
The day has arrived when Aiden Markram and Co will take the field to take on India in the ICC T20 World Cup. After a long wait of 32 years, the Proteas have finally managed to reach the finals of the World Cup. Ahead of the mega clash, skipper Aiden Markram revealed that there is incredible hunger in the team to win the trophy.
Protean Hunger!
Forever deemed as chockers, South Africa however has been a class apart in the T20 World Cup. Much like the Men in Blue, the Proteas too are undefeated so far in the tournament. But as per Aiden Markram, the Proteas skipper has revealed that the team is hungry to win.
“India is a great team. South Africa is progressing in the right direction over the past couple of years. It is a big opportunity for us. Regardless of the result, there is massive hunger from us to go out and win the game for the team,” said Aiden Markram in the pre match Press Conference.

Markram has also spoken highly about his team. The South African skipper has claimed that his team has the belief in turning a game from any position, as they have been doing throughout the tournament.
“We have the belief that we can win a game from any position in the game. We as a team have been here for quite few years as a white ball squad. The guys are finally understanding their role in the team,” Markram added.
