India have made the final of the Women’s Asia Cup in all 8 editions and have a 7-1 record.
The India women’s cricket team have announced their squad for the Women’s Asia Cup 2024. The 15-woman team will have Harmanpreet Kaur as their captain and Smriti Mandhana as her deputy for the event that starts on July 19. Team India will look to claim their 8th Women’s Asia Cup title at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, where all the matches will be played.
India will kick off their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan and will face the UAE on July 21 and Nepal on July 23 in Group A. The other group, meanwhile, has Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, and hosts Sri Lanka. The semifinals will be played on July 26 and the final on July 28.
With a 43-3 record at the event, India will be the heavy favorites to lift yet another Asia Cup title and start their Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 preparations with a bang.
