India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav on Sunday surpassed MS Dhoni on the all-time T20 six-hitting charts during Mumbai’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final against Madhya Pradesh in Bengaluru.
Suryakumar overtook Dhoni to take the third spot among Indian six-hitters in all T20 cricket, with his 339th maximum in his 304th T20 match. Suryakumar made his T20 debut in 2010 and only made his maiden T20I appearance for India in 2021.
Since then, Suryakumar has amassed over 2570 runs in the international T20 format in 74 innings with four hundreds and 21 fifties. Suryakumar has smashed 145 T20I sixes, only second to former captain Rohit Sharma’s tally 205 maximums in 151 innings.
