Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal last year in June. But soon, reports suggested that she’s planning to sell the house where she got married. The actress had reportedly bought the apartment a few years ago and had even said in an interview that it was like her chill pad, even before she got married. She had said that while she lived with her parents, this house was like a place where she could have her work meetings and also chill with friends.
However, after she got married, reports suggested that she is selling this house and is now planning to move into a new apartment. It is now known that Sonakshi has sold her apartment at Rs 22 crore, as examined by Square Yards on the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website. Based on IGR documents, Sonakshi’s apartment’s carpet area was approximately 4,211 sq ft and it included three parking spaces. The transaction required a stamp duty of Rs 1.35 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000.
Thus with the apartment being sold at Rs 22 crore, it shows that the value of the house was increased by 61 percent in the last 5 years. ETimes had earlier quoted a source close to the actor, who revealed why the celebrity home was on the market. The source said the reason behind Sonakshi’s decision was linked to Zaheer, who hails from a family that has a construction business. They said, “Sonakshi has bought a bigger apartment in a building that Zaheer is developing.”
On work front, Sonakshi was last seen in ‘Heeramandi’ and ‘Kakuda’ last year.
