“These people both from inside and outside India are trying to spread anarchy and restlessness within India,” Modi said adding that these forces are also trying to hurt the economic welfare of the country.
Participating in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia,Gujarat Prime Minister Narendra Modi today came down heavily on his detractors and alleged that some perverted ideologies and twisted minds have become restive with growing strength of India and its flourishing sense of unity.
“These people both from inside and outside India are trying to spread anarchy and restlessness within India,” Modi said adding that these forces are also trying to hurt the economic welfare of the country. “These forces want that a wrong message should go out to the investors worldwide and a negative perception of India be created,” Modi said adding that these people are busy targeting even the armed forces of India and running misinformation campaigns. “They want to create rifts within the armed forces” Modi said.
“They are trying to divide the society in the names of caste and creed. All their efforts have only one target, to weaken Indian Society and India’s unity”, he said adding that ‘these people’ will never want India to develop as the politics of the weeks and poor only suit them.
For five long decades this dirty despicable politics was played at the cost of weakening the country,” Modi said. “These people are trying to break India in the name of constitution across the people of the country,” he said. “We have to identify the coalition of these ‘Urban Naxals’, he added.
As the Naxalism that had flourished in the forests which misled the tribal youth with bombs and bullets went down, the new model of ‘Urban Naxals’ came up, Modi said adding that these forces will have to be identified and dealt with.
“There was a time when we with a lot of pride used to sing songs of national unity,” Modi said adding that today if someone sings those songs, the cabal of urban nasals will start abusing him or her. “Today if someone says that we are safe when we are one, then that would be read differently. Those who want to break the country and divide the society are troubled with the unity of the country, he added.
Modi further said that in the last 10 years, government has constantly strengthened the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat in its policies and decisions. Talking about initiatives like “One Nation, One Identity” through Aadhaar, and additional efforts to establish “One Nation” models like GST and the National Ration Card, Modi said that as part of Government’s efforts for unity, it is now working on One Nation, One Election, One Nation, One Civil Code, i.e. Secular Civil Code”.
Recalling the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir as a milestone, Modi said that “for the first time, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir took the oath under the Indian Constitution.”
He further spoke about how the Bodo Agreement has ended 50 years of conflict in Assam, and the Bru-Reang Agreement allowed thousands of displaced individuals to return home. Similarly the agreement with the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) has brought back peace to Tripura, while the boundary dispute between Assam and Meghalaya has been resolved to a large extant. Talking about the success in diminishing the influence of Naxalism, which he described as“a significant challenge to India’s unity and integrity,” Modi said that due to persistent efforts, Naxalism is now breathing its last.
