Actress
Shriya Pilgaonkar
, who is known for her roles in ‘
Mirzapur
’, ‘The
Broken News
’ and many others, revealed her parents
Sachin Pilgaonkar
and
Supriya Pilgaonkar
are her biggest cheerleaders and critics. The
actress
recalled the time when her mother watched the OTT series ‘Mirzapur’ and shared she was unable to watch it.
She told Bollywood Bubble, “I remember, Mom couldn’t even watch ‘Mirzapur’ because it’s such a violent show.
So, I had to force her, telling her that it was my first series and to watch it for me despite the violence. When the climax scene came, my mom was watching it like this (hides her face). She said, ‘I can’t watch what’s going to happen. Something is going to happen to you,’ and she started crying. I had to pause it and say, ‘Mom, okay relax’.
She further added, “I realised it was too much for her. Eventually, she watched it but cried through it, and I felt so bad. There are many people who can’t watch violence, but she watched it because of me. Later, she said, ‘Why did you force me to watch it, but you did well.’” Then Shriya said her mother liked Sweety, the character she played on the show.
On the work front, Shriya Pilgaonkar was last seen in the second season of the OTT series ‘Broken News’ alongside Jaydeep Ahlawat and Sonali Bendre.
