Shreya Ghoshal issues warning after her X account gets hacked: “Please don’t click on any link or believe any message”

On March 1, Shreya Ghoshal posted on Instagram, informing her fans that her X (formerly Twitter) account had been hacked since February 13. She expressed concern, stating that despite her team’s efforts to recover the account or get a response from the X team, they have had no success. The ‘Mere Dholna’ singer also mentioned that she is unable to delete her account. She urged her fans to stay cautious and avoid clicking on any spam or phishing links from her X account.

Addressing about it, Shreya shared, “Hello fans and friends. My Twitter / X account is hacked since February 13th. I have tried everything in my capacity to reach out to the X team. But there has been no response beyond a few auto generated responses. I am unable to even delete my account since I can’t log in any more.”

She added, “Please don’t click on any link or believe any message written from that account. They are all spams and fishing links.”

Shreya’s fans flooded the comments section, hoping for a resolution while expressing disappointment over her struggle to delete her X account. One fan wrote, “Hope we get you back there soon. We will wait for you. Your Twitter SGFamily misses you so much—so many emotions are attached to it. Hope you recover your account soon.”

Another fan urged her to escalate the issue, saying, “Didi, please try reaching out to higher authorities. They resolved such issues before. That account holds years of love and memories—it’s an emotion for us. We miss you so much.”

A third user shared their distress, commenting, “I literally started crying after reading ‘delete my account.’ So many emotions are tied to it.”

Meanwhile, no unusual activity has been observed on Shreya’s X profile. Her last update was on February 6, when she reposted a song she sang for the Telugu film Thandel.
