In a conversation with Rhea Chakraborty, Shibani Dandekar expressed admiration for Adhuna, Farhan Akhtar’s ex-wife, acknowledging her role as an
incredible mother
. Shibani explained that her approach was straightforward, seeing herself as someone who is there to offer support whenever needed.
She emphasized that her role is to assist both the girls and their parents, stepping in wherever help is required.
When Rhea asked Farhan, if his
separation
with Bhabani was difficult for their
children
, he stated that it ‘couldn’t have been easy’. He spoke about how at the end of the day, a
relationship
that they (the children) thought was solid and perfect in their mind is ‘fractured’, and there ‘will be some degree of anger’. He added that he feels, even now it might be latent within them.
Farhan Akhtar also opened up about the anger he felt following his parents’ separation. He explained that he became defensive because other kids, during arguments, would say hurtful things without considering the emotional or psychological impact. Farhan noted that this lack of a filter in their comments was what frustrated him, as he questioned why he had to endure such remarks.
For the unversed, Farhan and Adhuna were married for 17 years. They tied the knot in 2000 and separated in 2017. However, Farhan and his wife Shibani Dandekar are often seen with his daughters.
