on the sets of their film ‘
Utsav
’. The film also starred Rekha.
Shekhar walked down memory lane and revealed that during the
shoot
of ‘Utsav’, where their car hit a man and the angry
villagers
tried to manhandle the cast.
During an episode of the Honestly Saying Podcast, Shekhar Suman recounted an
incident
involving himself, Shashi Kapoor, Anuradha Patel, and Kunal Kapoor. While traveling from Bangalore in an Ambassador car, they accidentally hit a pedestrian. Subsequently, enraged villagers attacked them all.

He further revealed the severity of the situation, describing how the villagers physically assaulted them and issued death threats. The attackers smashed the car’s windshield, grabbed Shashi Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor, and even threatened to behead another actor named Mr. Rajesh. Meanwhile, the man they accidentally hit remained calm, sitting under a tree and sipping tea, which added to the surreal and frightening nature of the incident.
