The much-anticipated collaboration between acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor has officially commenced as the duo, along with co-star
Triptii Dimri
, began shooting for their upcoming untitled action-thriller in Mumbai. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is set to hit theaters worldwide on December 5, 2025.
Marking the beginning of this cinematic journey, producer Sajid Nadiadwala took to Instagram to share glimpses from the muhurat shoot. A behind-the-scenes snapshot posted by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment captured the project’s excitement, with the caption, “A sneak-peek into a spectacular journey that begins today! Stay tuned as the magic unfolds. Straight from the muhurat shoot! #SajidNadiadwala Presents. A @vishalrbhardwaj Film. Releasing on 5th December 2025.”

Shahid also expressed his excitement on social media. Sharing a post with his fans, he wrote, “Every story has its time, and this one begins now. Shooting starts on 6th January 2025, and we’ll see you in theatres on 5th December 2025.”
Joining Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the film are veteran actor Nana Patekar and the versatile Randeep Hooda, both playing pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Shahid will be seen in an action packed film ‘Deva’, helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, ‘Deva’ has a talented starcasts, Pooja Hegde, Kubbra Sait, and Pavail Gulati.
‘Deva’ is set to release on January 31, 2025.
