Earlier, on a reality show, Sanjay Dutt opened up about how his parents raised him and his sisters. The actor shared that they were never made to feel superior. Instead, they were taught to respect their elders, even if they were servants, to love children, and to always stay humble despite being the children of Sunil and Nargis Dutt.
The actor recounted how, on his first day of college, he had expected his father to send a car to drop him off. Instead, his father called him before he left and handed him a second-class train pass starting from Bandra station. When he asked for a car, his father replied that he could ride in one when he earned it. He was instructed to walk, take an auto, or take a cab to Bandra station, then travel to Churchgate and walk to Elphinstone College. This, he explained, was the kind of upbringing they received.
Sunil Dutt, actor and politician, passed away in 2005 due to a heart attack.
