Riyan Parag gets rewarded with IND vs ZIM T20 series for IPL show after T20 World Cup snub

Riyan Parag has finally got his much deserved India Cricket Team callup. After showcasing a rich vein of form in IPL 2024, thoughts were high about his selection for the T20 World Cup squad. However, now the Rajasthan Royals ace hitting has finally go his chance and will be a part of Team India that will tour Zimbabwe for a 5 match T20I series.

Riyan Parag made a blistering start to IPL 2024 with his aggressive style of batting. Promoting himself to bat up the order, he found his groove. He ended the campaign, third on the list of the Orange Cap. He accumulated 573 runs from 16 games. His fine innings over the tournament consisted of 4 special fifties and a couple of game finishes.

Thoughts were high that he would surely make it to the team India squad for the T20 World Cup. But the youngster was left shocked when he saw that he was snubbed. But now it is a perfect opportunity for Riyan Parag to continue his rich vein of form. And since, India is sending a young squad overseas, Parag will be desperate to put up a good show to secure his spot in the team.
