Rinku Singh, who was not named initially in any of the teams for Duleep Trophy, has been now included in India B, as per reports
Explosive middle-order batter Rinku Singh has been named as a part of India B in the ongoing Duleep Trophy. As per reports, Rinku along with another player from UP have received a call-up following the announcement of IND vs BAN 1st Test squad that saw many players leave India B to head to Chennai. Rinku was not named in any of the teams earlier ahead of the tournament.
As per TOI, Rinku Singh will be a part of Abhimanyu Easwaran’s India B which picked up a win against India A last week. The UP batter revealed that he was initially disheartened on being left out of the Duleep Trophy but was now elated to be a part of India B. Along with Rinku, Aaqib Khan has also been included in India B.
“My job is to work hard, and I am extremely delighted to have received the call for Duleep Trophy. When the teams were initially announced, I was not selected. I was disheartened because my responsibility is to put in the hard work which I am doing. Today, I feel even more elated as I am here to represent India B in the prestigious Duleep Trophy,” Rinku said as quoted by TOI.

“Nothing…I didn’t perform that well (in the domestic season). I didn’t play many matches in the Ranji Trophy…I played 2-3 matches. I wasn’t selected because I didn’t play that well. I might get selected for next-round matches,” Rinku Singh had told Sportstak earlier after being snubbed from the Duleep Trophy.
