held at Worli, Mumbai.
The Tata Group’s Chairman Emeritus, who passed away on 9th October 2024 at Breach Candy Hospital, was 86 years old.
Khan and Rao were among the hundreds who queued to pay tribute on Thursday including a mix of ordinary mourners, high-profile business leaders, politicians and Tata employees.

The actor was seen offering prayers in front of the coffin, draped in an Indian flag. Kiran was also captured on camera, offering her prayers before making way for other mourners to pay their respects.

After the ceremony, both Aamir and Kiran expressed their deep admiration for the legendary leader and his lifelong commitment to the nation. Speaking briefly to the media, Khan said, “It is a sad day for the country. The contribution of Ratan Tata to the country is priceless. He was a rare individual. We will all miss him a lot.”

Kiran Rao echoed his sentiments, adding, “It is a sad day today. He was an amazing person, I had the opportunity to spend time with him. It is really sad that he is no more. He has done a lot for the country.”

Several other high-profile attendees from business, politics, and entertainment were also present, paying homage to the man known for his humility, foresight, and dedication to India’s development. Tata’s leadership of the Tata Group, as well as his extensive charity work, has left an indelible mark on the nation.
As tributes continue to pour in from around the world, Ratan Tata is being remembered not only for his business acumen but also for his kindness, integrity, and lifelong efforts to improve the lives of others.
