,’ gears up for its release. Ahead of the highly anticipated release, the actor did his bit to amp up the excitement for the film, by calling it a potential ‘Avengers moment’ for Indian cinema.
In a recent podcast with Vamshi Kurapati on his YouTube channel, Rana shared his excitement for the release of the Nag Ashwin-directed sci-fi film and called it “The next big moment”, not just fir India and the Indian diaspora, but for everyone in the world.
“For a long time, I have been waiting for an Avengers moment from our side. That’s what has excited me to be part of it,” he shared.
Rana has been hyping up the project, since introducing it at the San Diego Comic-Con when it was tentatively titled ‘Project K.’ Speaking about the film and its stellar cast, including Prabhas and
Deepika Padukone
, Rana said that he was really looking forward to its release as he felt it would “break boundaries”, much like the films ‘
Baahubali
‘ and ‘RRR’. “I am really looking forward to that film and it could really become a global film from Telugu (cinema),” he said at an IndiaToday conclave.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which also stars

in lead roles, is slated to hit the big screens on June 26, after multiple delays. The film was originally slated for a May 2024 release, however, delays in production prompted the makers to postpone the release by a month.
