Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) celebrated its 9th Annual Convocation, on Friday. A total of 1,910 students, including 32 PhD scholars, 670 postgraduates, and 1,208 undergraduates, received their degrees. The event was marked by the presentation of gold and silver medals to 102 outstanding students for their academic excellence.
Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, was the chief guest. In his address to the graduates, Prof. Kumar emphasised the importance of living in the present and focusing on both physical and mental well-being. He encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning and continually strive to become the best versions of themselves.
M.R. Jayaram, Chancellor of MSRUAS, addressed the graduates, urging them to carry forward core values instilled during their time at the university. He highlighted the significance of integrity, curiosity, resilience, and a sense of responsibility, towards society. “Your education has not only equipped you with technical expertise but also a moral compass to navigate life’s complexities with wisdom and empathy,” said Mr. Jayaram
