Ram Gopal Varma posted a video of a casual conversation with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, where the two filmmakers both challenge and praise each other.

put Vanga on the spot by asking if he could make a film on Baahubali. Sandeep paused for a moment, smiled, and then gave a cautious response, saying he might try in the future. Amused at first, Ram Gopal Varma scolded him for not giving a clear yes or no answer.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga hesitated again and said he would try, but Ram Gopal Varma scolded him for being diplomatic. After some more prompting, Sandeep finally said his immediate answer was no. Ram Gopal Varma then asked if he could make a better film than Baahubali. When Sandeep again said he would try, Ram Gopal Varma laughed, shook his hand, and declared the answer was clear—no more “trying.”
RGV continued by asking Vanga which film would do better at the box office if his 1990 cult classic Shiva (starring Nagarjuna) released the same day as Sandeep’s 2017 hit Arjun Reddy (starring Vijay Deverakonda). When Sandeep chose Shiva, Varma claimed he was being too modest. In return, Sandeep playfully challenged Varma to make a great film again, one that would make audiences say “RGV is RGV,” rather than just “RGV is back.”
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next project, Spirit, is a Telugu film starring Prabhas. Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma’s latest directorial was Vyuham, which released earlier this year.
