Veteran filmmaker Rajiv Rai has expressed shock over the recent
stabbing incident
involving Saif Ali Khan. In an exclusive interaction with

, Rai refrained from pointing fingers and emphasized the need for patience and investigation.
“Let’s not blame the government or the police. I do not enjoy that one bit. I think we’re a progressive country, and blaming people is not my cup of tea,” he said.
Commenting on the incident, Rai added, “I’m in a state of shock that something like this can happen. I’m eager to find out what the police discover. Everyone in Mumbai is asking the same questions I have. I’m waiting for this mystery to be solved and for the suspect to be caught.”
Addressing speculations about Bandra being a hotspot for such incidents, given its celebrity residents, Rai dismissed the notion as premature. “Many stars live there, and some may connect this incident to what happened with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. But let’s not speculate. Celebrities around the world face risks because they’re public figures. That’s the price of fame,” he stated.

Rai also defended the Mumbai Police, praising their efficiency and past record of handling crises like the 26/11 terror attack. “To bring down their morale or blame them isn’t fair. Crimes happen worldwide. How many people can the police protect? They’ve always done their best. We can’t expect a policeman for every individual,” he noted.
Rai concluded with a message of faith in law enforcement, urging the public to avoid the blame game and support the ongoing investigation.
