IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals were a dominant force in last year’s edition, where they finished third in the points table with 8 wins.
Rajasthan Royals have swung into action early, as they started their preparations for the upcoming IPL 2025 already, with over two months to go for the tournament. As per a report in the Times of India, head coach Rahul Dravid visited the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Wednesday, and spent a sizeable time at the facility, checking for all the arrangements.
In fact, Dravid went on to have a detailed chat with the RCA chief curator Taposh Chatterjee. The report further states that the coach might have asked the latter to prepare the last four centre-wickets for IPL 2025. “After they inspected the ground conditions, dressing room and other facilities, Dravid asked me to at least prepare four centre wickets for the IPL. Depending on the fixtures and the gaps between the matches, we will take a decision, which wicket to use,” said Chatterjee.
Apart from that, the report also spoke about, how Rajasthan Royals will play five home matches in Jaipur, and two will be in Guwahati. Assam will play host to their first two ties. And to keep the Jaipur ground ready for the IPL 2025, the upcoming Ranji Trophy fixture between Rajasthan and Vidarbha will move out KL Saini Stadium in the same city.
“Unlike last season, we will play our first two matches in Guwahati and thereafter shift our base to Jaipur,” said a top RR management official.
