And thanks to a clip that is doing the rounds of the internet, one can add a new layer to the equation. The clip is from an interview the Big B gave in 1984 wherein he was answering some fan questions and one was about what are the names of his dogs, and if he could suggest a name for the fan’s dog. He said , “ I have three dogs ,two Alsatians ( Franco and Nero) and one Saint Bernard is Bertie . And for the names , well if it’s a small one, I’d like to suggest a very Punjabi name called Pisti- it’s for something small in Punjabi, and if it’s a large one then you can call it Gabbar Singh.”
Now not many would be aware that back in the 80’s, Rekha also had a pomeranian dog as her pet and she had named her Pisti. A glimpse of her playing with her pet can be seen in Simi Garewal’s show Rendezvouz with Simi Garewal. However, one can’t be sure if she named her before this interview or after.
Mr Bachchan’s last release was a guest appearance in Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan, which saw him working with the south superstar after 32 years. Their last film together was Hum, while he’s currently busy with the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. On the other hand, Rekha was last seen gracing the silver screen in a guest appearance for the film Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se with Dharmendra.
