PDP leader Iltija Mufti has alleged that she, along with her mother and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have been placed under house arrest.
In a post on X, Iltija shared a picture of a locked gate and alleged that they were locked up because Mehbooba was meant to visit Sopore where Waseem Mir was shot dead by the army. Iltija further said that she was supposed to visit Kathua on Saturday but was not allowed to do so.
The post added that not much had changed in Kashmir even after election.
“My mother & I both have been placed under house arrest. Our gates have been locked up because she was meant to visit Sopore where Waseem Mir was shot dead by the army. I intended to visit Kathua today to meet Makhan Din’s family today & am not being allowed to even move out. Nothing has changed in Kashmir even after elections. Now even comforting the families of victims is being criminalised,” said Iltija.
