Bengali actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay and his wife, mental health activist and singer Piya Chakraborty, have revealed that they are expecting their first child. The couple announced the happy news in a touching Valentine’s Day post on Sunday.

Sharing a series of pictures featuring themselves, their pet cat and dog, and a sign that read “Baby on the way,” the couple wrote,
“A bit late to the Valentine’s party… We were busy with this:
- This is us
- This is our eldest, Nina
- Then last year came Bagha
- Our bubble of love is growing: a human being will be joining the tribe soon! #2025 #babycomingsoon.”
Actor Mouni Roy, along with fans, responded to their heartfelt announcement with congratulatory messages.
Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Piya Chakraborty tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on November 27, 2023, at the actor’s Kolkata home, surrounded by close friends and family. The couple chose a simple legal wedding. Sharing their wedding photos, Parambrata quoted T.S. Eliot, wrote, “Let us go then, you and I, when the evening is spread out against the sky.” He added, “This is it.”
Piya Chakraborty was previously married to musician Anupam Roy.
