Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Score, 1st Test Day 2 Match Today:Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel scored gritty half-centuries and kept the Bangladesh pace bowlers at bay after a horrid start by the hosts to help Pakistan reach 158/4 at the end of Day 1 of the 1st Test in Rawalpindi.

The first day which had a delayed start of about 4 and a half hours due to rain saw the Bangladesh bowlers tear through the Pakistan top order to reduce them to 16/3 at one point with Abdullah Shafique (2), captain Shan Masood (6) and Babar Azam (0) all in the hut inside the first 10 overs.

Ayub who hit 56 and raked up a 98-run fourth wicket stand with Shakeel (batting at 57), was sent back by Hasan Mahmud. Mohammad Rizwan (batting at 24) saw out the day with Shakeel and will hope to build a partnership on Day 2.

PAK vs BAN: Babar Azam scripts unwanted record, scores first home Test duck of career

Pakistan’s Babar Azam scripted an unwanted record on Wednesday when he scored the first career duck in a home test match when he went down in just the second ball he faced against Bangladesh in the first Test.

This was also the 8th Test duck of his career and his first in Tests since 2021 where he was out for 0 against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Babar’s wicket put Pakistan in a fix after the Men in Green had already lost 2 early wickets in the match. Shoriful Islam had bowled the delivery that was swinging towards the leg side and Babar tried to attack the ball, got an edge and wicketkeeper Liton Das took a stunning catch. (READ MORE)
