, Neena Gupta shared that her initial reaction to the news of her victory at the 70th National Film Awards was one of surprise.
She admitted that she paused and asked her manager to double-check the information, just to be sure, before laughing about it. Neena ji went on to say that she felt a surge of happiness and emotion after confirming the news.
The actress expressed her excitement at seeing her name on the winner’s list, stating that this prestigious honour was a testament to her
hard work
being recognized. Reflecting on her journey, she remarked that if one continues to work diligently, the results will eventually come, if not today, then tomorrow.
In the same interview, Neena Gupta reminisced about receiving two National Awards in the 1990s and reflected on what a “big deal” it was to be honoured again after nearly 30 years. When asked if she would like to dedicate her award to someone, Neena ji expressed that she would dedicate it to herself, acknowledging that the win was a result of her own hard work.
