Mumbai: Yet another meeting of a senior NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader with Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar has led to the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Sena slamming its ally for having meetings with ruling party leaders.
On Saturday, NCP-SP state president Jayant Patil had a closed-door meeting with Ajit in Pune.
While the meeting lasted just 20 to 25 minutes, the UBT camp has seen red over the Sharad Pawar camp hobnobbing with Ajit even after their split.
“We avoid meeting those people who have broken our party, those who have betrayed Maharashtra, those who tried to sell the state to traders in Gujarat.
We have avoided meeting them even though a number of situations have arisen,” said Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut after Patil’s meeting with Ajit.
While there has been speculation that Patil is on his way to the Ajit camp, sources said that the UBT Shiv Sena camp is actually worried over the leadership of NCP-SP and Ajit Pawar camp meeting in spite of their split.
