Mukesh Rishi

emerged victorious in the recent

CINTAA

election, garnering the highest number of votes.
Speaking to ETimes about his plans, Rishi aims to rejuvenate the actors’ association, acknowledging its waning influence and the plight of many actors.”I remember there were some big stars who were members of CINTAA and had done a lot for the fraternity.

Today, it looks like CINTAA has lost its glory, and no one really knows anything about the association. So then I met

Preeti Sapru

, who is the head of the CINTAA trust, and formed the group that will bring back the respect of the association,” Rishi said.Teaming up with Preeti Sapru, head of the CINTAA trust, Rishi is committed to forming a group dedicated to restoring the association’s respect and relevance. “We started meeting the small actors to understand their problems, and COVID-19 had affected them in a big way. We didn’t have any sources to bring funds to CINTAA. We actors like Amjad Khan and

Mithun Chakraborty

laid the foundation of the CINTAA building,” he revealed. He further said, “I know about the

Rehana Sultan

case, which was discussed with us about giving Rs 5,000 in aid to seniors, but that we will double, medical aid is a top priority, and that help will also go up to Rs 1 lakh. We will speak to hospitals for some kind of tie-up wherein we will get a discount for treatment and physiotherapy.”
With a focus on financial stability, Rishi intends to explore fundraising opportunities and engage prominent industry figures. “We will request big stars to do fundraisers for CINTAA so that we have enough funds to secure our seniors,” he affirmed.

In addressing the concerns of daily wage actors, Rishi pledged to speed up remuneration, ensuring payment within two days of shooting. “We will work on the issues daily wage actors face. We will help them get their remuneration within two days of the shoot; otherwise, they have to wait for months to get their two-day age,” he concluded.
